Who am I and what do I do at autarc?

Hello, I'm Simon. I studied industrial engineering and mechanical engineering in Braunschweig and work as a software developer at autarc. I mainly focus on the implementation of product features to develop scalable and unique software.

What did I do before autarc?

After completing my studies, I worked a lot in the venture capital environment and started developing and founding Skipper, a digital learning platform for boating licenses, in 2022. Due to my academic background, I have always been strongly attracted to the B2B and hardware-related industries and have already worked for a wide variety of companies in this field.

Why autarc?

autarc is extremely exciting for me, both in terms of the product and the underlying industry. Thies and Etienne quickly convinced me both personally and of their vision for autarc. I also see a very good opportunity for me to learn a lot about the market, its customers and the development of disruptive software products.

What do I do outside of autarc?

First and foremost Skipper: We are continuously developing our product and our teaching content, so a lot of focus is on our heart project. Alongside Skipper, I am a passionate sailor and enjoy spending my vacations on the water. In Berlin, I generally spend a lot of time outdoors or sometimes in a techno club.
